step one

Determine if Dr. Wakely is a good fit for you.

  1. Have you seen multiple practitioners with little to no benefit?

  2. Do you have unexplained symptoms that haven’t responded to other treatments?

  3. Are you motivated to make the necessary changes to improve your health?

  4. Are you looking for more than to just mask symptoms?

If you answered “yes” to these questions, then follow the steps below.

step two

graphic-two.jpg

Complete the Inquiry Form to start the scheduling process.

Complete and submit the New Patient Inquiry Form. You’ll receive a follow-up phone call or email within one week with further instructions.

We believe in a team approach to your medical care. Our physicians meet weekly to discuss new patients, review screening forms, and determine if we’re a good fit for you.

Because your care is the most important thing, we also believe in physician pairing — matching you to the right doctor for your particular needs. For example, if you request me, but I feel you might be better served by one of my colleagues, I’ll let you know. But who you see is ultimately your choice.

step three

Plan for your visit.

If you’re a local patient:

  1. We’ll start with a 2.5 hour in person appointment, which includes reviewing your health history, a physical exam, ART assessment, and complete treatment plan

  2. Your follow up visit will typically be scheduled 4-8 weeks later, but this varies greatly depending on the severity of your symptoms.

If you’re a traveling patient:

  1. We’ll start with a 60-minute pre-appointment phone call to gather your health history.

  2. During the phone call, I’ll make a recommendation for the length of your in person visit. Expect to stay in Seattle for 2-5 days for your first in person visit. While this isn’t required, this “short burst” of treatment is typically more effective than just one visit.

  3. Follow up visits may be in person or via tele-health, but we recommend coming in person every 3 months if possible. Keep in mind that state and federal laws require you to be seen in person annually in order to continue care.

“He’s met our medical needs utilizing gentle but effective treatment modalities.”

“My whole family has been under Dr. Wakely’s care for over five years including during my pregnancies. I’ve experienced much relief after receiving joint injections from Dr. Wakely for persistent joint pain which has tremendously improved my quality of life.  He’s been compassionate and willing to listen during the hard moments and willing to adjust treatment options to fit our needs as a family.”

 What To Expect

  1. Two-hour initial office visit or 60-minute pre-appointment phone call.

Because I treat causes, not symptoms, there’s usually some detective work we’ll need to do in the beginning. This extended time allows me to take your full health history before we start treatment.

  2. Order appropriate tests.

We can’t track what we don’t know, so I’ll order tests based on your specific symptoms. The tests are usually in one of these categories:

    • Detoxification Processes: Checking for errors in detoxification

    • Environmental Toxicity: Checking for past or present exposures to different toxins or infections

    • Routine: Checking immune system, electrolytes, kidney function, and hormones

  3. Additional supportive therapies.

I may recommend additional supportive treatments while you’re in-office, including IV therapy, injections, sauna, lymphatic work, and/or allergen treatment.

  4. Discuss your individualized protocol.

You’ll leave your first office visit with a specific, detailed plan to follow until your next appointment. I believe in patient-centered, power-with (not power-over) medicine, which means that we’ll evaluate the ideas together.

things to keep in mind

  • Your visit starts when Dr. Wakely begins reviewing your information or labs — before he brings you back to his office.

  • Please be mindful of the time. If you need to keep your visit to exactly 120 minutes, let Dr. Wakely know up front. You’ll be billed for the time that you use, not the time you’re scheduled for.

  • Bring all of your current supplements and medications to each visit. It'll save Dr. Wakely time and save you money. You can bring the bottles or put your doses in labeled Ziplock bags.

 frequently asked questions

Do you take insurance?

I’m not contracted with insurance companies and would be considered an out-of-network provider. You’ll always be provided with a superbill with appropriate diagnosis codes which you can then submit to your insurance company.

Can I just schedule a telehealth visit, without coming in person?

Due to state and federal laws, you must be seen in-office before any recommendations are given. You must also return in person every 12 months (annually) in order to continue care. As long as these conditions are met, we can continue care remotely between in-person visits.

How long will it take see results?

I’m Results Driven and Patient Focused, which means I’m going to be tracking your symptoms and other markers to make sure you’re always heading in the right direction.

Most patients experience some symptom improvement after the first visit, but results are highly individual based on history and current health status. My goal is to get you to a place where you’re only coming to see me once or twice per year. Over time, you should notice:

  • Less pain

  • Improved energy and more stamina

  • Improved GI function

  • Better sleep

  • Improved skin and appearance

  • Improved mood and outlook

  • Less medications
